In anticipation of the festive Christmas Day, the children of the Orphanage, Rehab Center for Boys and Hope Center for Girls in KENYA eagerly went to the Christmas service at church. There they served the congregation with dances and a drama performance about the birth of Jesus. Upon returning home, they had a hearty lunch with various delicacies, played games, watched a film about Christ and, of course, received gifts. Many children celebrated this happy event for the first time in their lives! This day for the children turned out to be the most cheerful and bright, but most importantly, filled with stories about Jesus Christ.
In Jordan, in our Slavic church, we celebrated Christmas Ukrainian style. Everyone who had the opportunity wore traditional, Ukrainian, embroidered shirts. We shared Ukrainian poems, sang songs and praised God. The guests were treated to delicious kutya. The meeting was attended by over 80 people with children!
Thank God for a delightful holiday and an incredible opportunity to spend time in a special way talking about the Gift from Heaven - our Savior!
