Forty percent of the world's population is at risk of water scarcity, and Kenya is among the leading countries lacking sufficient access to clean water. The situation is worsened by droughts, which have become regular over the past four years. To help the residents of a village where the Shelelwa PEFA Church is located (near the girls' center), Transforming Nations completed drilling the well. Itl will provide water for up to 150 people. Thanks to solar panels, water can be supplied throughout the day. The project was completed in partnership with Kingdom Water.
The next plan is to drill nine more wells in regions where there is a severe shortage of safe drinking water. These wells will be located on church grounds, giving pastors an additional opportunity to preach the Gospel to local residents. Clean water is a crucial step for regional development and saving lives.
